Cycle Training, Hackney London, Hackney The Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is a new qualification for professional bus, coach and lorry drivers. It has been introduced across Europe with the aim of improving road safety and helping to maintain high standards of driving. VolkerHighways, training provider M2, the London Borough of Hackney and Cycle Training UK (CTUK) all joined together to create a one day training program which was designed to meet the legal requirements of CPC and incorporate an element of cycle training. Working alongside a CPC trainer, VolkerHighways employees attended a pilot training day at the Millfields depot in Hackney.
