Cutting through glass-hard blockage, decimating downtime. Power plant A central Texas power plant had 8,000 feet of 2.5” boiler tubes plugged with fy ash, lime and other materials. Under the intense conditions of the boiler, these materials become a glass- hard conglomerate that was virtually impossible to remove. Cutting, hydroblasing and replacement would take four weeks, during which time the plant would lose $1.68 million in revenue. This particular year, the plant manager remembered Hydrokinetics from a trade show and gave us a call. We dispatched a crew. Six days later, the tubes were completely cleared and the plant was back online. Savings: over $1.3 million.
