Following in Beecham’s footsteps has been a number of illustrious musicians, as the baton has been passed on from one Principal Conductor to the next. The Orchestra has performed at the Royal Festival Hall since the venue opened at London’s Southbank Centre in 1951, assuming residency in 1992, and also has residencies in both Brighton and Eastbourne.
