In November 2017, the City conducted a first round of engagement including focus groups with the public on STRs. Based on the feedback gathered and a comparative analysis of other cities’ policies, city staff developed guidelines to create a regulatory framework. Council endorsed the proposed policy approach in July 2018, and directed city staff to go out for a second round of engagement and consult with stakeholders and the public to refine these guidelines for STRs.
