City and Borough of Juneau Fireworks in Parks Connected Participants Project Scope Key Analytics The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) sought feedback from residents about whether there should be limits on the use of fireworks in parks, ranging from banning the possession of fireworks in City parks outright to a partial ban, limiting the size of fireworks allowed, restricting use of fireworks to certain dates and times. By using PlaceSpeak, CBJ was able to reach out to a broader range of residents and hear from a diversity of viewpoints, both from those opposed to and in favour of fireworks in parks.
