01. Thoughtful, fluid design. The building’s interiors flow in a fluid manner, zig-zagging upward to an outdoor rooftop auditorium. The glazed cutouts scattered throughout the façade provide library visitors with dynamic views of the city. 02. Strong and stylish concrete shell. The concrete shell of the building is for more than just show, it’s a load-bearing structure as well. In fact, there is only one interior column in the structure. 03. Built with Mother Nature in mind. The base of the library is one foot above the 100-year floodplain. Made of concrete, the structure will be well protected from high flood waters, and virtually anything Mother Nature throws its way. 04. Exposed... on purpose.
