A leading Finnish telecom operator partnered with Vertiv and Celltech to power its 5G rollout across 1,000 sites with efficient DC systems. The challenge was to provide reliable backup for energy-hungry 5G radios while reducing operating costs. Vertiv deployed NetSure™ 48V DC power systems and high-efficiency eSure™ rectifiers, cutting energy consumption and simplifying installations. Despite the added complexity of launching during the COVID-19 pandemic, remote monitoring and supply chain expertise kept the project on track. Early results show reduced OPEX, lower energy costs, and network coverage extended to 1.8 million people across 84 locations.
