Carnaby Street MSS Duke Street 11kV Reinforcement Project for UKPN – Clancy Docwra Description: The Carnaby Street MSS Duke Street 11kV Reinforcement Project was commissioned by UK Power Networks as part of a £5M overall investment to upgrade the electricity infrastructure and to ensure the reliability of supply to its customers. Effectively this project is “keeping the lights on in the West End of London.” Clancy Docwra Limited carried out these essential works to duct, lay, install and joint approximately 1 kilometre of new 11kV electricity cable. The route was underneath some of the most prestigious and congested roads in London, which included Conduit Street, Grosvenor Square, Maddox Street, New Bond Street, Regent Street, St. Georges Street and finally ending up in Duke Street.
