EOSOL, FRANCE Canadian Solar supplies more than 35,000 solar modules to EOSOL Energies Nouvelles for an 8 MW solar power plant in Aquitaine. Canadian Solar delivered 35,000 solar modules to a ground-mounted solar power plant in Villeneuve de Marsan in the Aquitaine region in South-Western France. The 8 MW installation was constructed by EOSOL and the Caisse des dépôts et consignations, and was inaugurated on April 18, 2011. The solar power plant’s production capacity provides enough electricity to meet the average annual demand of about 2,500 households. EOSOL is using high-performance Canadian Solar CS6P 230-Watt modules in the solar power plant, which spans over 17 fields and offsets the production of 9,180 tons of carbon dioxide annually.
