Canadian Solar Supplies ELPS Solar Modules for 1.3 MW Solar Power Plant
SULZBACH, GERMANY Canadian Solar Supplies ELPS Solar Modules for 1.3 MW Solar Power Plant. Canadian Solar supplied 1.3 MW of its ELPS solar modules for the ground-mount PV installation in the city of Sulzbach. The system was connected to the grid on September 3, 2012 and was one of the first projects in Germany to use modules equipped with Canadian Solar’s ELPS solar cell technology. The site of the solar park is on a north-facing slope so the requirements for the modules' performance and quality were particularly high. This is why Canadian Solar ELPS CS6P-MM modules, consisting of 60 pieces of mono cells and with power of 265 W, were selected for the job. Thanks to the metal-wrap-through (MWT) architecture used in the ELPS cells, each solar cell can absorb 3 percent more light and, as a r
