Scope of Work SOFEC designed, constructed, and installed a SALM terminal to import heavy fuel oil for distribution in North west Spain. SOFEC determined all environmental forces and performed all structural and mechanical design. SOFEC also designed the seafloor foundation which is a towable, controlled ballast-type mooring base that is supported on short spud piles and anchored via 1,000 tons of crushed and graded granite ballast material.
