Brooks Bros is one of the UK’s leading timber suppliers offering a nationwide service. The Skelmersdale distribution site which serves the North of England covers 46,000m2 of undercover secure storage. The aim to reduce energy consumption was a priority for the recently appointed General Manager and addressing the lighting of the site was his first port of call. His mission was to find a solution that would not only reduce current energy bills but also improve the lighting quality and functionality both on the shop floor and within the offices. After a site survey, GBIS were able to present a quality lighting solution which, by using energy efficient LED lighting meant that as well as improving the overall onsite working conditions, substantial cost savings could be made.
