Long Rake Spar - Bow Roundabout Bow Roundabout is an extremely busy intersection in East London which was in urgent need of an upgrade due to its high volume of shared use. Many Safety concerns had been raised to make the junction more approachable for cyclists and pedestrians, keeping them from danger of any vehicular movements. When the A11 overpass was built around 1970, the space around it was left largely redundant so there was plenty of scope to put this to good use. This area needed to be aesthetically pleasing as well as clearly indicating safe passage through the intersection for pedestrians and cyclists.
