KEY CHALLENGES Bemidji Bus Line is one of the many passenger carriers that needs to comply with the electronic logging device (ELD) mandate. Due to the nature of their business, not all of their drivers are required to run an ELD. Some of their drivers have to run an ELD, some qualify for an exemption and only need to track their hours-of-service (HOS) with paper or electronic logs (eLogs), and others need to have the ability to switch between eLogs and ELDs. Bemidji was using an ELD from another provider and drivers experienced numerous issues that impacted their ability to do their job.
