BEATSON CLARK Stairfoot Factory Beatson Clark September 2007 to March 2008 Ron Hull Demolition was employed by Beatson Clark for the demolition of the former glass factory. Taking on the role of principal Contractor, the following works were undertaken: - Decontamination of plant/equipment involving caustic soda, lime and glass cullet. - Removal of asbestos contained materials. - Demolition/dismantling of 300t furnace, HFO tanks and pipe ranges, and high level storage bunkers. - Demolition of 180' high chimney stack by explosives, after decontamination to remove arsenic residues. The project was a success, being completed ahead of schedule.
