With the opening of new premises for its European Data Centre, global investment company Barings called on Reliance High-Tech to synchronise security between its new building and its long-established City headquarters. Security challenge Since 1989 Barings’ global headquarters have been in Bishopsgate, London with 450 staff based on several fl oors of a multi-occupancy building. Barings is responsible for safeguarding its own fl oors, including its own reception, security desks, access control and CCTV . In 2006 Barings opened a second facility in south London. It was designed as a ‘lights-out operation’, meaning that staff don’t work there full-time.
