Trusted to deliver Case study // Bamber Bridge THE CHALLENGE The main issue at Bamber Bridge was the quality of the spent ballast. Compaction, contamination and migration of ballast was restricting drainage resulting in the pooling of rain water. There were several catch pits along the section with collapsed pipes which were also contributing to the flooding. Our challenge was to solve the poor drainage problem that was causing serious damage and disruption to the network. WHAT WE DID We provided a coordinated solution for Network Rail under the Works Delivery Special Projects Framework.
