AFM elevates Romania's sustainability with Microsoft Azure-powered solar grant allocation Romania’s Environment Fund Administration (AFM) is championing initiatives to reduce the nation's carbon footprint and encourage sustainability. One of these initiatives is its annual Green House Solar Panels Program, offering citizens funds to help set up solar panels in their homes. AFM teamed up with Romania’s Rural Investments Financing Agency (AFIR) to build an online platform based on Microsoft Azure, enabling the agency to meet the strong demand and surge of concurrent traffic when funding applications open. By the end of the last submission phase, close to 90,000 beneficiaries were able to successfully apply for a funding of 20,000 RON (4,000 EUR) each.
