Aerospace Case Study: SpriteSat (Rising) Satellite SpriteSat (Rising) is an Earth observation satellite designed by ÅAC Microtec and built by Tohoku University located in Sendai, Japan. The mission is to monitor sprites (lightning effects) phenomena in the upper atmosphere.
