Using RTLS visibility and analytics to automate PAR Level management of infusion pumps. THE NEED AdventHealth Orlando wanted a modern, efficient process to manage Hospira Plum A+ infusion pumps in its newly constructed Women’s Hospital. The legacy process was inefficient, leading to low availability and high management costs and making patient-care delays and staff frustration daily dilemmas. In addition, the process required constant movement, which caused significant delays in pump cycling as well as potential damages to pumps that created even more pressure and higher costs. Poor handling from front line staff also attributed to pump damages. Every stakeholder realized that something needed to change.
