dSPACE NEWS CUSTOMERS Active Control of Combustion Pressures Honeywell Engines and Sys- tems recently introduced an advanced technology program to reduce emissions from the Vericor line of gas turbine en- gines for industrial and marine applications. One of the key technologies being developed for this program is the active control of combustion pressure oscillations that are excited in gas-fired, low-emission com- bustion systems. The ability to reduce the risk of these pres- sure oscillations enables safe operation of the engine in re- gimes that minimize emis- sions. In the first phase of this program, the concept was de- veloped and tested on the combustor of the engine in un- der a week using dSPACE Prototyper.
