ABI Equipment Limited was asked to supply specialist equipment consisting of a Delmag RH 28 drilling rig, rotary head and Kelly bar by contractor Bachy Soletanche Limited for the piling work at the London Bridge Station Redevelopment project. The piling works were carried out over a number of weeks in March and April 2015. London Bridge Station is one of the busiest stations in the UK with over 50 million users. With a recent 50% growth in passengers from Gatwick Airport, the station now handles more than twice the number it was designed for. The station currently has poor links to other forms of transport and hinders the regeneration of the local area.
