The mill had been using several different products for the problem that cleaned pitch and stickies from the dryer felts. Unfortunately, issues inherent to the system conditions created an intolerable situation. Vapors and odors created by these products during cleaning generated on-going complaints and potential safety and health hazards to machine crews.
