The big ideas driving micromobility
Micromobility refers to single-person, very light vehicles. They can range from conventional and electric scooters and bikes, to ‘personal vehicles’ like Segway. Taken at its broadest definition, the category could even include a skateboard, and as technology progresses the options are only going to grow. Segway’s newest offering, the Loomo, is described by Tech Times as ‘a mini transporter and robotic sidekick’. The Loomo features obstacle avoidance technology, captures photos and video, responds to word commands like ‘time to go Loomo’, and will even follow you around the office like a robot puppy until you’re ready to go grab some lunch.
