This paper argues that in an era of AI and automation, human-centric skills—such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and emotional intelligence—are becoming the most valuable drivers of economic competitiveness. While technical skills remain important, the report shows that human skills are harder to automate and essential for innovation, leadership and adaptability. However, these skills are often underdeveloped, poorly measured and inconsistently integrated into education and workforce systems. The paper analyzes global supply-demand gaps and proposes new approaches for assessing, credentialing and scaling human capabilities across economies.
