Alzheimer’sdisease(AD)is the most common cause of dementia in the elderly population. In end-stage AD there is wide spread atrophy, like in most types of dementia. In order to differentiate between different types of dementia, it is therefore essential to use MR diagnostics in an early stage. This will give the possibility to start with innovative therapy as soon after onset of the disease that might slow down progression.
