The Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) provides a framework that will help the healthcare community meet national data exchange demands. Born out of the 21st Century Cures Act, TEFCA has three goals: Set the groundwork for nationwide interoperability, where everybody can share data with universal policies that apply to participants and sub-participants.
