This document argues that cyber teams cannot systematically improve or reduce organizational risk without measuring real technical performance across the full employee lifecycle, because many candidates are “knowledge rich” but lack hands-on skills that can damage configurations and waste time and budget. It positions Cyberbit as a way to assess candidates, employees, and teams through cyber labs and live-fire attack scenarios, with automated sensors that score actions (detection, investigation, remediation), time to response, and evidence discovery rather than quiz answers, and map results to MITRE ATT&CK.
