Voltzite is a Dragos‑identified threat group linked to activity previously described by CISA and Microsoft’s Volt Typhoon. Since early 2023, the group has carried out reconnaissance and enumeration across multiple U.S. electric companies and expanded targeting to emergency management, telecommunications, satellite services, and the defense industrial base. Voltzite has demonstrated the ability to infiltrate the electric sector by moving through victims’ IT networks to access critical systems, highlighting its focus on long‑term espionage against U.S. infrastructure.
