This product sheet describes Tiger Pool, an add-on for Tiger Store that creates a virtual volume to mount and manage multiple live NTFS volumes under a single namespace, simplifying expansion, migration, and decommissioning while keeping data portable and non-proprietary. Unlike striping or RAID, each pool member remains whole and independent, with folders logically merged and new writes distributed based on folder affinity, round robin, and free space. This design reduces risk associated with very large NTFS volumes by letting organizations pool smaller volumes, so failures affect only a fraction of the dataset while the rest stays available.
