This data sheet describes a solution designed to bridge heterogeneous chat systems by enabling secure, seamless communication across multiple chat protocols and platforms. It allows interoperability between legacy and current systems, including IRC, XMPP, and Sametime, while supporting connections between two or more chat servers. The solution can be cross domain‑enabled using Owl’s Collaboration Gateway, allowing secure communication across differing security domains. It integrates easily with existing chat infrastructures, requires no changes to current systems, and does not require users to learn new tools. Messages posted in a chat room are shared with all users across connected platforms, with support for additional chat protocols planned.
