As organizations adopt Microsoft 365, securing sensitive data becomes a major concern. While Microsoft Information Protection is included with M365, its data protection capabilities are limited and often fail to support truly secure collaboration. Relying on this “free” option may benefit Microsoft but does not necessarily meet an enterprise’s real security requirements. As data moves to the cloud, businesses need stronger, more effective protection than what MIP can reliably provide, otherwise their sensitive information remains vulnerable to hacking and unauthorized access.
