The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) introduced the Cybersecurity and Cyber Resilience Framework (CSCRF) in August 2024 to enhance cybersecurity and resilience for regulated entities. Effective by early 2025, the framework aligns with CERT-In’s Cyber Crisis Management Plan and applies to all SEBI-regulated entities, categorized by operational scale. It mandates governance, risk assessment, encryption, identity management, and cloud security controls.
