The 2025 “World’s Best Smart Hospitals” ranking by Newsweek and Statista honors 350 hospitals across 28 countries that lead in adopting digital health technologies. Hospitals were evaluated using three data sources: peer recommendations from healthcare professionals, the Statista Smart Hospitals Maturity Survey (covering 10 tech categories), and Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. New to this year’s methodology: increased survey weight, added survey topics, and JCI’s inclusion in scoring. Desk research validated each hospital’s smart technology leadership, with the top 100 ranked and the rest listed alphabetically.
