API security has emerged as a central concern, with 78% of organizations prioritizing it more than two years ago and 95% planning to make it a priority over the next two years. The report also highlights acute challenges around cybersecurity talent shortages, increasing personal liability and litigation fears for CISOs, and the growing impact of AI, which is viewed as both a defensive necessity and an accelerating threat.
