Mission-critical Workload Performance Testing of Different Hyperconverged Approaches on the Cisco Unified Computing System Platform (UCS)
17 PagesThis ESG Lab Report, commissioned by Cisco, validates the performance of Cisco’s HyperFlex hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) on the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) platform for mission-critical workloads. ESG compared HyperFlex with two software-only HCI solutions, analyzing performance metrics such as IOPS, latency, and consistency under Oracle and SQL workloads and mixed VM loads. Cisco HyperFlex outperformed in key areas, showing higher IOPS, lower latency, and better VM consistency across clusters, suggesting lower total costs due to fewer nodes needed for high performance.
