Keeper Security’s 2023 PAM survey of 400 IT leaders found widespread frustration with legacy PAM tools, as 68% pay for unused features and only use 62% of functionality. While 91% have some form of PAM, 87% want a simplified solution that is easier to deploy and manage. Complexity, high costs, and staffing needs leave many implementations incomplete, with 56% failing full deployment. Leaders seek PAM that reduces breaches, monitors all users, integrates easily, and requires less staff. The report stresses replacing traditional PAM with unified, zero-trust, zero-knowledge platforms to deliver visibility, compliance, and control.
