Fortifying Cyber Resilience Insights Into Global Cybersecurity Practices
Keeper’s 2024 global survey of 6,000 respondents reveals a paradox in cybersecurity: while 85% believe their passwords are secure, poor practices remain widespread. Over half experienced an online scam in the past year, with 26% targeted by fake ads or giveaways. Forty-one percent reuse passwords, and 61% admit to sharing them, often through insecure methods. Many delay device updates due to inconvenience or performance fears, while only 12% use password managers. Despite high confidence, gaps in training, password hygiene, and secure sharing expose users to risks, underscoring the urgent need for education, MFA adoption, and better tools.
