2024 GLOBAL THREAT REPORT
The 2024 Global Threat Report reveals that adversaries accelerated operations with an average breakout time of 79 minutes and the fastest at 2 minutes 7 seconds . Malware-free intrusions rose to 71%, showing attackers’ preference for stolen credentials and legitimate tools. Interactive intrusions increased 45%, while access broker activity surged 147%, feeding ransomware and eCrime. China-nexus actors conducted 26 campaigns, expanding espionage in critical sectors, while DPRK targeted crypto and financial theft. Social engineering and zero-day exploits also grew. The report stresses identity protection, cloud-native defenses, adversary-focused intelligence, and rapid response to counter increasingly stealthy and fast threats.
