A WatchGuard and Gartner Peer Insights survey of 100 security leaders found the average Security Operations (SecOps) maturity score is 2.51 out of 4. While all surveyed organizations have endpoint monitoring, only 12% deploy behavioral analytics on every server and user device. Additionally, 47% collect logs mainly for compliance and audits, but many lack proactive detection and response to advanced threats. To improve mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to respond (MTTR), organizations must mature their SecOps capabilities to stop threats early and strengthen overall defense.
