Previous years saw similar attacks in Hanover, Mainz, Gijon, Caen, Palermo, Prague, Lviv, Gloucester, Linz, Liège, Turin, Potsdam, London, Angers, La Rochelle, Marseille, and Frankfurt. Incidents have also affected regions beyond Europe, such as Nairobi in Africa, highlighting the global and growing threat faced by local governments.
