In 2021, Russian tech giant Yandex also suffered its biggest DDoS attack, driven by a botnet exploiting compromised network devices. These increasingly large and complex attacks, mainly UDP flood and amplification types, underscore the critical need for next-generation secure networks like SCION and Anapaya’s solutions to reduce attack surfaces and effectively mitigate such threats.
