The 2022 Cloud Security Study APAC Edition shows that 49% of respondents find cloud data protection more complex than on-premises systems, while 19% store over 60% of sensitive data with external providers. About 43% experienced breaches, though incidents dropped from 39% in 2021 to 32% in 2022. Half of enterprises failed audits, and 46% said encryption use is driven by internal security decisions. Key management remains fragmented, with 55% using five or more systems. Despite these issues, 80% are adopting zero trust principles, while 62% are already executing or evaluating related strategies.
