In an Oct 2025 survey of 500 CISOs, 97% say hybrid models improve resilience vs cloud-only/on-prem, 96% say hybrid is essential for regulatory compliance, and 96% say OT/IT convergence is critical—though 88% warn many orgs aren’t prepared for the new challenges. Threat concerns are rising, with 89% citing agentic/AI-driven attacks as a major risk and 94% rethinking strategy due to emerging threats. CISOs prioritize better hybrid visibility (40%), more intel sharing (38%), and investment in tools (38%) and skills (32%). AI is becoming core (about 25% of budgets), but cost and integration hurdles persist. The report concludes CISOs need stronger executive support, resources, and authority to move from reactive response to proactive resilience.
