This document introduces Palo Alto Networks’ Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) capabilities within the Cortex platform. CIEM automatically discovers, analyzes, and remediates excessive cloud entitlements to mitigate identity risks. It continuously monitors for unused or over-privileged access across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, helping enforce least-privilege access. CIEM’s integration with automation frameworks enables real-time remediation and risk scoring. Combined with Cortex XSIAM and XDR, it enriches visibility into access behaviors, accelerates incident response, and reduces attack surfaces. The solution empowers security teams to confidently manage identities in dynamic multi-cloud environments.
