XENON helped the University of Melbourne build the first node of Australia’s national research cloud, part of the NeCTAR initiative, which went live on February 1, 2012. This research cloud enables researchers across all disciplines to quickly deploy ideas, tools, applications, and data online through self‑service access. By simplifying the ability to share, compute, and publish research outputs, the platform reduces barriers to rapid development and collaboration, fostering innovation in scientific software, data sharing, and research services nationwide.
