Wood Carving Workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy An extraordinary project was born when the architectural office berg- meister-wolf designed a new work- shop for wood carving art in Val Gardena, South Tyrol. As the triangulated facade could be used only partially for load applica- tion, the building represented a great challenge for the responsible timber construction engineer. But the Italian Dlubal customer Schrentewein & Partner mastered the task by prima- rily using the building‘s inside parts for transferring loads. Construction The facade of the building brings to mind carvings in a block of wood, which can be appreciated from both outside the structure and also from the inside.
