Wintergreen Fire & Rescue Inventory System For EMS CASE STUDY Summary Wintergreen Rescue & Fire consists of the Wintergreen Fire Department and the Wintergreen Rescue Squad, both of which are 501c3 nonprofit organizations and provide fire suppression and emergency medical services to the citizens of Wintergreen Resort and surrounding Nelson and Augusta Counties in Virginia. Both the fire department and rescue squad began in the 1970s when the Resort was in its developmental stages and started out with a handful of volunteers and two vehicles, a fire engine and a transport vehicle. Today, Wintergreen Rescue & Fire has grown to 28 full-time employees over 40 volunteers, over 20 pieces of equipment that range from large platform trucks to smaller SUVs used for rapid response. T
