The dot matrix coder did not produce barcodes and required abbreviating descriptions because the print was so large. In addition, the unit could not determine the line speed of the cartons and print would frequently run off the end of the box. SELECTION CRITERIA: Customer needed to print product flavor, alcohol content and UPC-A barcodes on the carton. Competition was Little David and Evolution.
