The proposed scheme works with the contours of the site, building into the slope with massing of the built form. This is achieved by a multi-layered (i.e. split level) design concept. Both houses have a total floor space of 210m 2 , over 3 floors: bedrooms, bathrooms, living area on lower ground; entrance, kitchen/dining on ground floor; study/gallery space on first floor. A ground floor terrace is accessed from the dining and entrance areas; the lower ground floor bedrooms open onto a small open air sunken pool, running the length of the façade to a terrace.
